Nökleby solar project

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Landinfra Energy is exploring the possibility of building a solar park for renewable energy production near Nøkleby in Løten municipality, Norway. The area under investigation by Landinfra covers 53.3 hectares and is located approximately 11 kilometers southeast of Løten in a region with a high demand for electricity. The planned park has a potential capacity of around 49.4 MWp, with the potential to produce about 52.5 GWh of electricity annually—enough to supply household electricity for approximately 3,500 Norwegian homes.

Provided the project receives the necessary permits, the plan is to begin construction in 2027, with the goal of bringing the park into operation by 2028.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE PROJECT

Landinfra intends to initiate the permit process for the Nøkleby solar park in Løten municipality. As part of this process, Landinfra submitted a “Melding med forslag til utredningsprogram” (Notice with a proposal for an investigation program) to the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) in late summer 2024. The next step in the process is for NVE to decide on sending Landinfra’s project documentation out for consultation to landowners, neighbors, and other stakeholders connected to the project.
