Vishult solar project

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Landinfra is investigating the possibility of building a solar park approximately 5 km west of Tjällmo in Motala Municipality. The farm is planned to have an area of up to 410 hectares on the property; Vishult 1:3. If built, the solar farm could have a total installed capacity of around 405 MW, with an annual electricity production of approximately 524 GWh, and produce fossil-free electricity for about 40 years.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE PROJECT

During autumn 2023, Landinfra met the officials at Torsås municipality and the county board in Kalmar county for an authority consultation. At the beginning of November, Landinfra invites to a general consultation via advertisement and letter.

In September 2024, Landinfra submitted consultation material to the County Administrative Board of Östergötland, thereby initiating the consultation process for the project.

During 2024, several surveys and studies on nature and wildlife were also conducted and initiated, which will form the basis for the project’s Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The permit application for the project is expected to be submitted in 2025.
