Eriksbråtberget wind project

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Landinfra is investigating the possibilities of establishing a wind farm in Arvika municipality – in an area located southeast of the community of Treskog, north of Gunnarskog. The project is run in collaboration with landowner Stora Enso.

During 2024, several surveys and studies were conducted on aspects such as the environmental, wildlife, and cultural heritage. As a result, multiple alternative project designs featuring 8–9 wind turbines have been developed.

Two informational meetings with local residents were held at the end of May 2024 to provide early information about the project plans to those most affected, as well as to answer questions and gather feedback.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE PROJECT

During the spring and summer of 2025, additional surveys of various bird species will be conducted. Public consultations with the general public, authorities, and organizations are also planned for the spring.

The goal is to submit a finalized permit application after the summer of 2025.
