Kölbygärde solar project

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Landinfra is investigating the possibility of building a solar project along the E22 road, just east of Ljungbyholm in Kalmar municipality in Kalmar County. The area that we are investigating has a total area of about 44 hectares divided into two properties; Kalmar Kölbygärde 2:1 and 1:40. If built, the wind farm could have a total installed capacity of about 35 MW and produce fossil-free electricity for about 40 years.

In the autumn of 2023, Landinfra met with the officials at Kalmar Municipality and the County Administrative Board of Kalmar County for consultation. In addition, during January and until 14 February 2024, a public consultation will be carried out via advertisement and letter. Once this public consultation has been concluded, an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and a Consultation Report will be produced. The application to the County Administrative Board is planned to be submitted in the second quarter of 2024. Local residents and other stakeholders are responsible for monitoring the announcement of the application when they have the opportunity to comment at the examination stage.
