Landinfra Energy is exploring the possibility of constructing a solar park for renewable energy production in Rakkestad municipality, Norway – Slettefjellet.

The area under consideration by Landinfra spans 142.3 hectares and is situated approximately 9 kilometers south of Rakkestad in Østfold county, a region in need of new electricity production.

The proposed solar park has a potential capacity of around 121 MWp, offering the opportunity to generate approximately 122 GWh of electricity annually. This is sufficient to supply electricity to over 7,000 Norwegian households. Pending the necessary permits, construction is planned to begin in 2027, with the park expected to be operational by 2028.

Landinfra intends to initiate the permit process for the Slettefjellet solar park in Rakkestad municipality. As part of this effort, Landinfra submitted a report in the spring of 2024 to the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE), proposing an investigation program. The next step in the process is for NVE to review and send Landinfra’s project documentation for consultation to landowners, neighbors, and other stakeholders associated with the project.
