Torsås solar project

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Landinfra is investigating the possibility of building a solar park just south of Torsås urban area in Torsås municipality. The farm is planned to have an area of up to 37 hectares including three properties; Torsås 9:1, 12:1 and 18:1. If built, the solar farm could have a total installed capacity of around 30 MW and produce fossil-free electricity for about 40 years.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE PROJECT

Landinfra conducted a delineation consultation with the County Administrative Board in 2023 and, in 2024, carried out consultations with authorities, the public, and directly affected parties. The received statements will be addressed in the upcoming permit application.

In 2024, Landinfra also conducted several surveys and assessments of nature and wildlife, which form the basis for the project’s environmental impact assessment. The permit application for the project, including the associated investigations, consultation report, and environmental impact assessment, is expected to be submitted during the first half of 2025.
